Check out this link. This is the first real confirmation that there really will be a Freddie Mercury film. Besides the usual who-will-play-Freddie casting rumors--Sasha Baron Cohen and Johnny Depp, for instance--and Brian May's cryptic comments, there's been no corroborations it will happen.

And on top of that, to hear that Michael Cunningham--author of The Hours, Pulitzer Prize-winner--has penned the first draft of the screenplay, both on that site and here, is really exciting.
