Tuesday, January 09, 2007 The Michael Jackson and Freddie Mercury demos. This version of "State of Shock," which appears on the Jacksons' Victory album, isn't so different than the one with Mick Jagger. But as an unreleased Queen curio, it's quite interesting to hear Freddie and Michael vamping it up here. Legend has it that The King of Pop caught Freddie doing coke in a studio bathroom, but that's rather apocryphal and unconfirmed. Michael Jackson's people won't allow this to be released. They also won't let this be released: Michael singing "There Must Be More To Life Than This," a cut from Freddie's Mr. Bad Guy album. I do so love this strand of YouTube videos, rare tracks that are in a sense streamed online, often combined with photo albums made by the fans.Labels: God Save My Queen, Queenspotting, Riffs # 6:51 PM
