Meadowlands/CAA tickets: the lowdown.

So I had a fanclub access code to get tickets at 3pm yesterday for the October 16 Queen + Paul Rodgers gig at Continental Airlines Arena (i.e., the Meadowlands). It was rough going, and way expensive--more expensive than I'd like to admit here on my News page--but I got four tickets in section 121. The section is off of the floor, but pretty near the stage.

How pricey would it be to be actually in front of the stage? To get down into sections 7, 8, and 9--obscured by my doodlings--you'd have to pay either $395 or $595 for what they call a "VIP" package. That would include laminated things and a tour of the backstage area. ("Wow, the catering table. Are these really the same celery sticks that Brian will soon munch on before the gig? Is this the Coke bottle with which Roger will mix his pre-gig rum?)

It will be great to tailgate and be with Queen fans for thier first on North American soil since July 1982.
